HERE'S THE LATEST FROM SAN CLEMENTE
Today the Orange County Health Agency reversed their Shelter in Place order. Here is the revised language…
Effective immediately, and continuing until 11 :59 p.m., on March 31, 2020, public or private Gatherings, defined by the California Department of Public Health are prohibited. See, CDPH Guidance for the Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission for Gatherings, dated March 16, 2020.
The CDPH Guidance for the Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission for Gatherings states…
- All gatherings should be postponed or canceled.
- This includes gatherings such as concerts, conferences, and professional, college, and school sporting events.
- Gyms, health clubs, and theaters should be closed.
A “gathering” is any event or convening that brings together people in a single room or single space at the same time, such as an auditorium, stadium, arena, large conference room, meeting hall, cafeteria, or any other indoor or outdoor space.
This is the line that troubles me… Any person who violates or who refuses or willfully neglects to obey this regulation is subject to fine, imprisonment, or both. (Government Code Section 8665).
There is hope on the horizon
- China announced no new cases of the Coronavirus
- Japan announced they’ve developed a new flu drug that is effective against the Coronovirus
- Taiwan has begun developing a vaccine in partnership with a U.S. company
HOW ARE WE RESPONDING TO THIS?
We continue to prayerfully watch daily developments in Orange County and seek God’s wisdom and leading. We want to respond lovingly and wisely with regards to the Orders being mandated from the Orange County Health Agency. Although this time is being spent apart, we are looking forward to a great celebration when our separation is ended. This is our current plan to meet the spiritual needs of our community.
WE ARE MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER
REMEMBER YOUR GENEROSITY IS REWARDED
Paul said... you will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. (2 Corinthians 9:11). Jesus said... give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (Luke 6:38). Your generosity is not only an encouragement to us, but it inspires thanksgiving to God in those who are ministered to at Calvary Chapel.
This is one of the ways we stay together... even during social distancing. With the Church Center App you can GIVE, REGISTER FOR EVENTS, JOIN A GROUP and PRE-CHECK your kids into Family Ministry. You can even watch services ONLINE.
